A Day in the Life
This position is responsible for leading clinical research staff for clinical activities in support of new and existing Diabetes products and therapies to achieve regulatory approval and establish comprehensive clinical evidence, by optimizing clinical trial process, its infrastructure setup and supports for execution.
This position will report directly to the Clinical Research Director for Program Management

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$156,800.00 - $235,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

A Day in the Life
This position is responsible for leading clinical research staff for clinical activities in support of new and existing Diabetes products and therapies to achieve regulatory approval and establish comprehensive clinical evidence, by optimizing clinical trial process, its infrastructure setup and supports for execution.
This position will report directly to the Clinical Research Director for Program Management
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure effectiveness of our global matrix through strong collaboration and communication with Geography leadership
- Helps to establish improved structures and processes; serve as a role model in demonstrating collaborative behaviors and a boundary-less mindset.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish clinical goals, strategies, plans and objectives that are consistent with the organization. Regularly review clinical metrics against objective and take actions to assess deviations from the plans, as/where necessary.
- Drive the clinical organization to meet or exceed objectives
- Continue to present and communicate with senior management on progress, barriers, and potential solutions
- Review and evaluate team and individual goals; assess talent management and foster relationships through motivation, coaching, and building trust. Identify team and individual goals and passions to empower and motivate through continued development.
- Collaborates with team to understand the needs for optimization of procedures and processes, proposes solutions and works with senior management to implement
- In partnership with various functions, optimize cross-functional processes and communication; drive best practices and uniformity as/where applicable
- Works with senior management to develop departmental policies, procedures and plans to facilitate the continued evolution and adaptation of MDT and internal organizations
- Directly responsible for a clinical team and will set the direction for the department and drive execution in a timely. Occasionally study start-up and execution support.
- Will be required to present to executive team and other senior level positions concerning status department initiatives or studies.

- Provides tactical and / or operational leadership and coaching
- May have budget or P&L accountability for a department, function or geography
- Strive for continuous improvement and consistency in deliverables
- Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors regarding ongoing operations
- May interact on issues that have externally shared objectives
- Works within and actively promotes Medtronic’s core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct
- Bachelors degree is required and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, OR advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
- Diabetes Management AID and CGM
- Vendor Experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage multiple tasks
- GCP
- Medical Device Regulations
- FDA regulations (eg. Class III devices experience)
- Clinical Management systems
- Electronic Data Capture Systems
- Advanced Microsoft office experience
- Excellent communication (written & verbal)
- Reporting to senior management on clinical studies goals.
