Daley And Associates is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer with a client who is a growing SaaS company. This Senior Cloud Operations Engineer will have strong experience working in Kubernetes, cost management within the cloud, and CI/CD automation. This person will also play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and management of our client’s cloud infrastructure. This is a 100% remote role.
This role will pay a base salary up to $175K.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and AWS.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous deployment.
Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud operations.
Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
Collaborate with development and product teams to ensure smooth and reliable application deployments.
Implement best practices for cloud infrastructure and operations, including security, compliance, and cost management.
Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends to continuously improve our infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a Cloud Ops Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Kubernetes and AWS.
Extensive experience with Kubernetes, including architecture, deployment, and management of clusters at scale.
Deep understanding of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and CloudFormation.
Strong scripting and automation skills using Go, Python or TypeScript.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or CloudWatch.
Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance best practices in a cloud environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
Experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar, or other data streaming tools at large scale
Experience with bare metal / dedicated server management outside standard cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of container security best practices and tools.
