Description
We are inviting applications for the role of Sr. Cost Accountant to be based in CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, United States. This role is pivotal in our accounting department and offers a long term contract employment opportunity. The Sr. Cost Accountant will play a significant role in analyzing financial reports, supporting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, as well as overseeing job costing and labor hours for the production floor.
Responsibilities
Pulling and analyzing financial reports to aid decision making
Providing support to the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
Overseeing job costing to ensure accurate allocation of resources
Tracking and analyzing labor hours on the production floor for cost control purposes
Utilizing accounting software systems for efficient financial management
Liaising with the Controller to provide necessary support on financial matters
Conducting cost analysis to identify areas of financial improvement
Implementing and maintaining financial services in compliance with DCAA regulations
Conducting auditing tasks as necessary to ensure financial accuracy
Participating in budget processes, offering insights and suggestions based on cost accounting analysis.
Requirements
