Sr. Data Architect

Position: Sr. Data Architect (100% Remote)

Work Model: 100% Remote, working on CST hours

Duration: 6 month contract to permanent full time hire (CTH)

Hourly Rate during the first 6 months: 100/hr to 125/hr

Salary Range at the 6 month mark: 200k to 225k + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Program with this organization

Industry: Financial Services / Mortgage

Responsibilities:

• Assessment of data services and program - team, process, tools, tech, architecture
• Will provide recommendations and solutions - Data currently sits all over the place and there is no ownership
• Will build strong relationships with the business and stake holders; bring value
• Roadmap
• Identify data silos, redundancies, inconsistencies, and compliance gaps
• Document the current state data architecture and processes
• Develop a target state data architecture blueprint
• Evaluate data governance and data quality framework and policies
• Assess existing technology infrastructure and identify cloud migration opportunities
• Create a phased implementation roadmap with resource allocation and timelines
• Conduct a cost-benefit analysis of the proposed data architecture initiatives
• Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the existing data team, including skills assessment and capacity analysis
• Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of current data-related processes
• Review the capabilities and limitations of existing data technologies

What Gets You The Job:

• Strong data architecture exp; Data Lakes and Data Warehouse - Medallion Architecture
• Cloud experience - any cloud is fine
• Strong/Excellent communication skills - heavy interface with the business and leadership - will serve also as a Data Steward for the organization
• Strong people skills with the technical chop
• Experience working in an enterprise environment, data governance, integrations
• Can roll up their sleeves, hands on architect
• Financial services industry experience

Nice to have:

• Cloud migration experience
• Microsoft experience including MS Stack - preferred as this is their environment
• SaaS
