Job Title: Sr. Director, Growth & Development

Job Summary:

As the Sr. Director, Growth & Development, you will be a part of our Insurance Division’s leadership team, operating a critical role related to the pace we will grow in the future.

Porch has ambitious goals related to insurance and this leader will have interaction and visibility with the entire Porch Group leadership team. You will oversee the growth, management, coaching and recruitment of your sales team, ensuring a high-performance culture that aligns with Porch's vision and values. You will be responsible for B2B marketing to independent agencies, ensuring that Porch Insurance and Homeowners of America are known, respected, and become a critical insurance product for insurance agencies to include in their offering for consumers. Additionally, Porch will have unique products to offer our independent agency partners, helping them to differentiate themselves and win more business – you will be responsible for the go-to-market of these products, driving revenue and profitable growth of insurance products.

What you will do as a Sr. Director, Growth & Development

  • Create and execute a strategic annual business plan that supports Porch's insurance
  • Develop and implement strategies that will focus on delivering annual profit and surplus growth
  • Demonstrate a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the insurance industry and its trends, opportunities, and challenges, specifically with independent insurance agencies.
  • Anticipate industry trends and assess competitor positioning to proactively position the company for long term success that translates to revenue growth and the development of new strategic relationships.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and metrics to track and evaluate the productivity and professional development of the sales team
  • Take an analytical approach to building a sales organization. Deploy agency optimization analytics which will drive decision-making for appointing and retaining independent agents. Key measures for evaluation are the LTV of an agency, the CAC to acquire and manage an agency, and agency expense ratio as an impact to EBITDA.
  • Collaborate with other leaders and stakeholders across Porch to develop and communicate the vision, strategy, modeling, and projections for the sales department
  • Identify business opportunities that fall outside of traditional products and services that ultimately translate into additional growth and expansion into new markets
  • Manage and optimize the profit and revenue goals of your sales department
  • Ensure that sales and marketing are compliant with state and federal laws and regulations

What you will bring as a Sr. Director, Growth & Development

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15+ years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry with deep experience working with independent insurance agents required
  • Previous experience creating a profit driven agent acquisition and agent management strategy required
  • Demonstrated success leading business development and agent management numerically required
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Able to effectively and diplomatically interface with all levels of management and personnel
  • Ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels and attain desired results
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with independent agents, attend industry and other work-related events

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member

Pay Range*: $183,500.00 - $257,500.00 annually

  • Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.

Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.

You will also be eligible to receive an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
