Sr. Director, US Marketing

General Summary
The Sr. Director, US Marketing (I&E) creates, executes and owns US marketing strategies that drive sell thru of KEEN products in all business channels. This role serves as the voice for the fan and the brand through all channels and consumer touch-points by leading a cross functional team with a focus on engaging, fostering and retaining customers to increase the lifetime value of the fanbase.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Builds and drives comprehensive marketing strategy and implementation for the US Region.
  • As a key contributor on the US Leadership Team, helps set strategy and leads the execution of the marketing strategy to create sustained, accelerated, profitable growth for the US Region, with focus on driving sell through.
  • Creates and implements seasonal Go-To-Market plans in the US Region to elevate key product launches and drive sell-in and sell-through. Leads and partners with Globally marketing, channel managers and cross-functional teams (including creative department and external agencies) to execute on these plans.
  • Creates and manages US marketing strategies and programs to build brand awareness and drive traffic to KEEN online DTC and all other wholesale channels. Partners with and manages external Earned and Paid media agencies to align partners to key business goals and objectives. Works with external Paid Media agencies to design digital, full funnel strategies to meet total brand and business KPIs.
  • Establishes analytical processes and produces cost-effective engagement and traffic driving programs via owned and third-party platforms. Reports monthly brand insights and campaign analysis, including overall brand and division sell-through to senior leadership teams.
  • Briefs in key brand and product campaigns to creative team(s). Oversees US creative across the full funnel strategy by channel to ensure on-brand, contextually accurate, and consistent messaging across all executable platforms for each campaign.
  • Owns and creates US Region marketing budget based on past product or campaign performance, channel manager insights, yearly revenue and KPI targets, and the competitive landscape. Ensures budget supports USA wholesale, marketplace and KEEN online growth targets. Responsible for ongoing budget adherence, updates, and adjustments as learnings and KPI’s are analyzed.
  • Investigates new marketing concepts, communication platforms, and cutting-edge programs to stay abreast of the market. Provides guidance to internal teams on how to incorporate appropriate trends into the overall marketing strategy.
  • Oversees US marketing team. Administers performance reviews, coaching, and training. Participates in setting the annual goals for the department and ensures that team members understand their level of influence and contribution to those goals.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a business-related field is required.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Marketing or Digital Marketing is required. Footwear experience preferred.
  • Proven strategic skills and extensive knowledge of how online media and mobile channels work together to create experiences that drive greater brand awareness, consumer engagement and conversion.
  • Ability to build and manage comprehensive marketing budgets.
  • Expert level knowledge of consumer buying behavior throughout the marketing funnel.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Passionate about the digital media space and translating that into increased engagement and sales.
  • Strong vendor and project management and influencing skills.
  • Thrives in a lean, fast-paced environment
  • Thinks strategically and executes tactically.
Travel Required
Up to 30% of work time will involve travel
Base Salary: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 yearly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and location.
