Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join its G&A Finance team. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent quantitative skills, a passion for advanced data analytics and automation, and a team-player with a collaborative mindset.

This role will be responsible for monthly forecasting/close, annual planning, business partnering, and providing optimization opportunities to budget management.

Your Impact

  • Managing the monthly close process including PO accruals, reclasses and meeting SOX compliance requirements
  • Financial planning and forecasting activities that include participating in the annual planning process as well as driving the monthly and quarterly forecasting process - This would include OPEX, CAPEX, and headcount planning
  • Partner closely with the business partners to understand timing of spend and resource requirements to drive accurate monthly forecast of expense and headcount
  • Generate critical reporting, leveraging our systems and tools, that includes variance analysis, audit reports, metrics and other ad hoc analysis and reports to identify and communicate key trends, risks and opportunities
  • Continuously explore enhancements and automation across our portfolio of reports and dashboards to expand knowledge and increase efficiency
  • Regular review of contractors and other operating expenses for optimization opportunities

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent military experience required
  • 4+ years of related experience - public company preferred
  • Ability to query and analyze large datasets and generate easily consumable reports
  • Understanding of backend databases, testing, and definitions is a plus
  • Resourceful and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Effective presentation and written communication skills
  • Experience with and/or a willingness to master various financial systems, including SAP, SAC, Tableau, G Suite, Excel and other BI tools

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $95,800/yr to $155,100/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
