Job Purpose

This position is responsible for managing the underlying operational components for the entire B2B Sales and Delivery process. The role oversees the team responsible for the design and implementation of systems that support this enterprise business function. The position is responsible for maintenance of the organization’s technical and data environment.

The incumbent will manage departmental sub-functions within a broader departmental function. This includes creation of functional specific objectives for the sub-functions and maintenance of tools, processes, policies, and procedures to support the functional needs. This role is also responsible for the measurement of process performance and business continuous improvement prioritization of backlog management. This position requires deep knowledge of the managed sub-functions and solid knowledge of the overall department functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage technology, processes, and assets lifecycles.
  • Communicate and validate product architecture with peers and stakeholders.
  • Manage data ingestion tools and develop reporting metrics, dashboards, and status reporting, including performance against Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Ensure the needed level of technical diagrams and documentation are produced and maintained.
  • Planning and execution of the technology support budgeting process.
  • Contribute to the design, documentation ant testing of business continuity and disaster recovery planning as required.
  • Forecast system demands and recommend upgrades, expansions, and reconfigurations.
  • Assist the team with project planning and other lager collaboration efforts, while fostering an environment of open communications and problem solving.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and translate requirements into technical implementations.
  • Experience with cloud services for DevOps, security, data.
  • Foster teamwork and a culture that accepts and responds rapidly to change, as well as being action oriented.
  • Act as an initiative owner on functional or corporate process or technology development initiatives.
  • Develop business cases for team’s process development or process enablers needs.
  • Coach and provide leadership development of staff and professional team members. Successfully hire, train, manage, and develop staff to ensure strong leadership and succession planning at all levels of the organization. Authority to hire and/or terminate employees.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, Insurance, or equivalent work experience.
  • 9 or more years of insurance industry experience to include establishing metrics, designing processes, and recommending technology enhancements for process and customer service efficiencies.
  • 6 or more years of management experience in Project Management, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, or other Process Improvement methodologies to achieve business results; Black Belt Six Sigma preferred.
  • Knowledge of performance measurement methods and reporting tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of workflow, collaboration. and project/program management technology tool enablers (i.e., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, Smartsheet, and Jira).
  • Technical aptitude in managing systems, process, and data lifecycle.
  • Proven ability through prior assignments to creatively apply limited resources and provide problem solving expertise to achieve maximum results.
  • Proven management skills, including the ability to lead, coach, develop and maintain a high performing team, including 5 or more years’ experience leading remote teams preferred.
  • Proven success and experience in collaborating and indirectly influencing multiple functions and groups to achieve process and financial goals.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills; strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, relationship building, customer service skills.
  • Work with security to implement resources securely.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented climate, across functional areas and multiple locations.
  • Business travel required approximately 10%.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

Base Salary Range

$114,600.00 - $171,800.00
