Role Description

  • Lead the process of bringing video concepts to life for both paid and owned channels.
  • Develop relationships with Director, AVP and VP-level Associates across marketing to align video vision with different company priorities.
  • Drive the development and refinement of the brand’s video strategy; balancing high production value moments against more ephemeral reactive content; determining how casting decisions, editing style and audio choices can all be shaped in the service of driving the brand’s video strategy forward
  • Be instrumental in determining video budget considerations, from shooting to editing and more.
  • Lead Saks in being the internet’s biggest fan: be contemporary with the latest social media trends, memes and styles. Understand how to participate in a cultural moment and create content that reflects that understanding.
  • Own the process of developing relationships with key collaborators including graphic designers and copy editors in the implementation of motion graphics and text elements.
  • Present your ideas to Creative and Marketing leadership and beyond confidently, clearly and with empathy, building the brand sensibility and bringing concepts to life.
  • Manage a team of video content specialists; delegating and managing projects, delivering feedback, coordinating with shoot production, art directors and photographers on assignments and timing.

  • Lead the capture of content on set, collaborating with art directors on their concepts, owning all aspects of video production and pre-production. Manage the day, exploring all aspects of an idea, capturing coverage to round out concepts and provide enough footage to create edits later. Lead your team to develop positive relationships with talent and be able to give talent direction where required, with empathy and clarity.
  • Improvise solutions, think fast on your feet and innovate new ideas while shooting. Explore different approaches to concepts, and lead your team to capture serendipitous moments that further the idea.

  • Travel to locations both nationally and internationally for shoots
