Sr. Network Engineer

Position: Senior Network Engineer

Location: Huntsville, AL or Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Terms: 6 months contract to hire, benefits during contract

Compensation: $95-110k conversion salary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with a strong focus on Fortinet networking to join our internal IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, with a primary focus on supporting internal operations for the first 12-18 months. Following this period, you will also provide support to our customers as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure with a focus in Fortinet technologies.
• Troubleshoot and implement network solutions, clearly articulating the thought process behind architecture decisions.
• Ensure network reliability, security, and scalability to meet organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements and develop robust network solutions.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Fortinet networking solutions (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, etc.).
• Strong understanding of network architecture and the ability to articulate troubleshooting and implementation strategies.
• CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent certification with broad enterprise-level networking knowledge.
• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a mid-sized or large enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in Cisco and Ruckus networking technologies is a plus.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with availability to come on-site as needed.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
