The Senior HR Analyst position is responsible for ensuring HR and Recruiting functional applications that meet department performance objectives and optimizes processes, focusing on automation and system utilization through data analysis and subject matter expertise. In addition to performing the duties of HR Analyst, this position will coordinate and prioritize projects within department and cross-functional teams (different departments in HR, IT and operation. The Sr Payroll Analyst position will analyze, validate, and manage the real needs of HR processing, as well as serve as a subject matter expert for various payroll applications. This position has in-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations (e.g. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) wage and hour, out-of-state tax, etc.) and provide guidance to customers accordingly. Working in partnership with the department management, this position is essential to the successful execution of departmental initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications (Must Have):
5+ years with PeopleSoft payroll in several configurations with healthcare experience troubleshooting periodic and off-cycle payroll runs
Run Tax updates, validate all stats and ops 4 or 5 times a year, payroll by-weekly and any off -cycle payroll and monthly payroll issues, this person will step in as tier 3 troubleshooting support.
Cooperative work with IT troubleshooting payroll integration failures with Time and Attendance , parking Integration, Tuition reimbursement, fidelity file, early access pay, are all 3-rd party systems requiring interfacing, so this person would be the main POC from a customer front to work with IT side on this.
Experience validating PeopleSoft retro-pay calcs.
Extensive PeopleSoft and Excel experience
Preferred:
Symplr system experience
Healthcare Experience in this role.
Strong SQL Experience
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification strongly pref.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Health Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or related discipline
Master’s degree preferred

Advanced reporting tool development
Knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Form I-9 requirements
Must be a self-starter and work independently
Must be very well organized, able to effectively manage multiple priorities in environment of substantial interruptions
