About the team and role:

As the Sr. Reconciliation and Money Movement Operations Manager at Dave, you will join Dave’s platform team and lead our reconciliation and money movement operations from both merchant acquisition and debit card issuing sides to support Dave’s credit and banking products. You will mainly be responsible for reconciling FBO accounts balance, matching transaction records across different systems, and driving initiatives to improve our banking and payment platform's cost and quality, and participating in efforts to design and document money flow. You will work closely with internal and external partners to ensure scalability and efficiency in our operations and compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations. You will use your prior experience to identify and drive improvement opportunities to improve the experience we provide to our customers.

What you'll do:

  • Own Dave’s internal reconciliation and funds movements for Dave's financial products.
  • Work closely with issuing banks and payment processors to create scalable funds flow and reconciliation process.
  • Perform daily FBO account balance and transaction reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage ACH process and ensure network compliance.
  • Be a strategic partner for our bank and payments product team, providing inputs to the product roadmap and supporting and advocating for product initiatives.
  • Ensure our payment platform is compliant with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Be essential to Dave’s payment and banking platform strategy and help define our platform objectives and key results.
  • Be a payment expert with detailed knowledge of ACH, RTP, Card Transactions, Wire, and other emerging payment rails.
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, payment providers, financial institutions, and vendors regarding payment processing issues and opportunities.


What you'll need:

  • 6+ years of experience managing account reconciliation and money movement at a fintech or a financial institution.
  • Accounting, Payments reconciliation, or similar background. Experience with reconciliation of debit and credit card transactions. Familiarity with FBO accounting, payment transaction reconciliation
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • You are detail-oriented, stay focused, and can prioritize projects and responsibilities. You can work independently to take on initiatives and drive problem-solving.
  • Good working knowledge of the FinTech Industry, specifically payment facilitators, payment networks, card issuing platforms, and more.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage large-scale projects.
  • Hands-on problem solving, using data to identify issues or opportunities for improvement.
  • Familiarity with pooled accounts, sponsor banks, and banking as a service is desired.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and payment industry standards is a plus.


$119,000 - $191,000 a year

Dave has established a nationally applicable pay program that recognizes that regardless of where Daves choose to live, their time and effort is of equal value to the company. As such, we utilize base salary ranges that are intended to be competitive in all markets and do not differentiate pay based on employee work location.
