Job Summary
As a Staff Accountant at KB Kitchen and Bath, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. You will collaborate closely with various departments to gather necessary information and documentation, verify cost and contract details, and generate payables and customer billing in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Invoice Preparation: Prepare and issue accurate payables and receivables based on sales orders, purchase orders, or other documentation.
- Verification: Verify invoicing data and resolve any discrepancies while entering into the system
- Collaboration: Coordinate with sales, vendors, and other departments to ensure timely AP/AR entry and resolve AP/AR issues.
- Records Management: Maintain detailed and accurate records of invoices entered and payments sent.
- Vendor and Customer Relations: Respond to vendor and customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Reporting: Assist in generating financial reports related to job cost and invoicing as required.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to the AP/AR process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Proven experience 2 years as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite (Especially Excel and Outlook).
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients/customers and internal stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve invoicing discrepancies effectively.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary.
- Ability to sit at computer monitor for long periods throughout the day.
- Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time; to reach with hands and arms; to move among and between offices; to handle mail and documents; to sit, stoop, kneel and crouch; to lift and move up to 10 pounds; to see well enough to discern differences in quality of documents and files.
