Position Title: Staff Accountant

We are currently developing Hotel Biba in West Palm Beach, among other exciting projects. We are seeking a talented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success.
Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of our real estate and hospitality portfolio. The ideal candidate is a QuickBooks Online expert, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proven track record of managing financial operations in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and entrepreneurial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and oversee all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable: Process and manage all accounts receivable and payable activities, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Credit Card Statements & Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile credit card statements and bank accounts on a regular basis, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, providing regular updates to senior management and making recommendations for improvement.
- Payroll: Administer payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all employees.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to management, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations and development, to ensure alignment of financial goals and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or hospitality.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online is required.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with payroll systems and accounting software.
