We are seeking a talented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success.
Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of our real estate and hospitality portfolio. The ideal candidate is a QuickBooks Online expert, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proven track record of managing financial operations in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and entrepreneurial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management: Maintain and oversee all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable: Process and manage all accounts receivable and payable activities, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Credit Card Statements & Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile credit card statements and bank accounts on a regular basis, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, providing regular updates to senior management and making recommendations for improvement.
Payroll: Administer payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all employees.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to management, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations and development, to ensure alignment of financial goals and strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or hospitality.
Expertise in QuickBooks Online is required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Experience with payroll systems and accounting software.
