Staff Accountant

Position Summary

Hours: 40 Hours, Monday-Friday

Location: Ensign College Campus - 95 N 300 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84101

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000

Employment Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in accounting or finance.
• Two-Three years of general accounting experience
• Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, journal entries, and customer service
  
  

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze financial data
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  
  

Job Description

• Supervise the accounts payable, journal entry and reconciliation processes.
• Assists in the resolution of AP related banking issues.
• Provide expense training and assistance to college employees
• Assist in the capitalization, tracking and disposal of assets
• Supervise and train student employees.
• Assist in managing the College’s purchasing card program.
