The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant with 2-3 years of experience to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to continuous learning and professional growth.

How you'll make a difference day to day:

  • General Ledger Management: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  • Month-End Close: Participate in the month-end closing process, including preparation of financial statements, analysis of variances, and ensuring all necessary adjustments are made.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing and collection.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in cash balances and financial statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate tracking and depreciation of assets.
  • Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate allocation to cost centers.
  • Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Compliance: Support the preparation and filing of sales tax returns and other regulatory filings as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function and participate in the implementation of best practices.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with special projects and financial analysis as needed to support the finance team and overall business objectives.


We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members and management.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: CPA or progress towards CPA certification is a plus but not required.


$90,000 - $110,000 a year
