Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Tampa, FL. Summary: This is an exciting and multi-faceted role within a full-service, single-family office located in downtown Tampa, FL. This position plays a vital role within our high-performing Finance Team and will provide support to three (3) major areas within the group. The below duties will combine for an on-site full-time role, and one that adds value to our firm each day. This dynamic role is for a team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to become -a jack or jill of all trades-. The family office is a 15-person strong team of dedicated professionals who go above and beyond daily, and we are looking for our next superstar. Responsibilities:

• Reports to the Controller and various Directors on multiple entities to close the monthly books, handle delegated accounting duties and work on various projects that are currently in rotation
• Provides an opportunity to interact with many different managers, handle multiple tasks and experience various subject matter areas of expertise, providing knowledge and experience over a very broad base
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
• Assist with annual tax filings inclusive of: Workpaper preparation; K1 tracking and reporting; Ad hoc tax-basis reporting for 200+ private equity investment portfolio; Preparation and reconciliation of tax workpapers in coordination with external tax partners
• Fixed asset/depreciation accounting and personal property tax return filing
• 1099 reporting
  
  

Requirements

• This role can be tailored to an individual who possesses a BS or AS degree in Accounting with a few years of experience
• Someone with purely bookkeeping experience and many years of experience
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage time to deliverable dates
• Usage/knowledge of Microsoft programs (excel, word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to analyze information and processes, and to brainstorm on improvements/enhancements
• Ability to multi-task and take ownership of the role; We leave our ego at the door to work for the greater good of the family
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
