THE ROLE
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the Accounting Team with delivering timely and accurate financial statements. This person ensures GL accuracy, plays an important role in month-end, and assists in Accounts Receivable.
Responsibilities
Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations
Support Sr Accountant with budget to actuals monthly reporting
Support AR Specialist with daily customer invoicing and cash application
Maintain strong accounts receivable procedures
Manage Sales Tax and Bottle Tax reporting and filing
Ensure all transactions are accounted for accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP
Assist with annual financial audit
Identify areas of improvement and provide solutions that drive efficiencies
Other applicable projects or duties as assigned
Qualifications
Prior experience working in a high growth business
Minimum 3 years of Accounting and accounts receivables experience
Strong understanding of GAAP
ERP software experience is a plus (NetSuite preferred)
Sales tax knowledge is a plus (Avalara)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
Ability to prioritize effectively among competing priorities
Ability to work and problem solve independently
Strong attention to detail, as well as analytical and organizational skills
Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to successfully partner with cross-functional teams
Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom preferred

Compensation
$70-75k Base Salary + Bonus
