Staff Accountant

Description

We are searching for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the construction industry located in Everett, Washington. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various accounting tasks, ranging from preparing journal entries to conducting balance sheet reconciliations. This role will offer an exciting opportunity to engage with multiple facets of accounting within the construction sector.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all journal entries are prepared and reviewed for accuracy, adhering to GAAP standards
• Handle general ledger accounting tasks effectively
• Provide assistance in the processes of budgeting and forecasting
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations regularly
• Support both accounts receivable and payable functions as needed
• Apply double-entry bookkeeping methods for accurate record keeping
• Complete accounting projects as delegated, ensuring efficiency and timeliness
• Exhibit proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software for various accounting tasks.
  
  
  

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000.

Requirements

• Must possess knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
• Demonstrated skill in executing Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management is necessary
• Experience in managing Journal Entries is required
• Proficiency in Month End Close procedures
• Experience in QuickBooks is a must
• Familiarity with SAP software is required
• Understanding of GAAP Accounting principles is necessary
• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting operations
• Knowledge in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is necessary
• Construction or Contractor industry experience is preferred but not necessary
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required
• Must demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work in a team and independently as needed
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
