Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
and reporting. This includes monitoring and reviewing transactions entered by operational
departments, payroll processing, periodic reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable and all other
accounting and financial compliance areas. As company operations expand, role will likely grow in

- Review customer invoices, receipts and credit card transactions
- Prepare supplier invoice payments in a timely manner
- Generate recurring billings
- Perform bank and merchant account reconciliations
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
- Develop and document accounting processes and procedures as needed
- Secure financial information and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive
- Maintain inventory control and supply levels for flight student program and other items
- Provide other support to senior management as requested
Competencies:
- Preferred candidates will hold an Associates or higher degree in Accounting, Business
experience, preferably in an accounting position with emphasis on accounting related duties.
- Prepare leaseback reports and assist in investor reporting. Financial statement preparation and assist in the annual audit.
- Has strong experience with QuickBooks Enterprise, Microsoft Office, Google Workplace
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Prior experience handling sensitive/confidential information
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal (writing sample will be requested)
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Individual will be self-motivated, self-directed, and resourceful
- Possess good research skills
