The Opportunity:

As a Staff Accountant, you will support our company’s financial operations and financial reporting functions. You will be personally responsible for assignments critical to the success of the accounting team and will work across the company to ensure the highest level of service for our buyers, sellers, partners and vendors. This role provides an amazing opportunity to jumpstart your accounting career as you gain exposure to all aspects of our business, learn from experienced managers and challenge yourself to master new responsibilities.

How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:

  • Ensures seamless transactions between buyers and sellers through our marketplace.
  • Completes critical reconciliations for monthly financial reporting.
  • Assists vendors and employees through timely payment of company expenses.
  • Maintains accurate records for use in reporting, internal audit and external audit.
  • Assists in producing proper and accurate monthly financial statements.

How your role expectations will progress as a Staff Accountant in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:

30 days in

  • Complete new hire orientation, gaining the resources you need to be successful.
  • Learn how ticket marketplaces operate and how you’ll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers.
  • Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and Vivid Seats values.
  • Review banking activity to ensure proper recording of transactions.
  • Begin learning the accounting structure for many aspects of Vivid Seats.

90 days in

  • Build internal and external relationships to achieve progress and advance objectives.
  • Collaborate with various levels of the accounting team to ensure accuracy of reconciliations.
  • Create daily journal entries to record large volumes of transactions.
  • Assist employees with proper categorization of expenses.

180 days in

  • Apply methods to execute individual tasks that positively impact the team.
  • Play an active role in continued advancement of skill sets necessary to meet team objectives.
  • Complete complex accounting reconciliations that rely upon accounting knowledge.
  • Change and improve processes to increase accuracy and effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Intrinsic desire to complete challenging tasks accurately and timely.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
