About Our Client
I'm partnered with the CFO at a $500M, leading manufacturer & supplier of specialty sorbent products located in Downtown Chicago, IL. They service a wide variety of industries, ranging from pet care & animal health/nutrition to agricultural ingredients. This client is a market leader in their space and is now looking to bring another Accountant to their Team!
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end close, including the completion of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage the processing and payment of approved vendor bills.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Collaborate with the plant/operation teams for pricing and vendor updates.
Identify process improvements and procedures.
Assist with weekly reporting activities to send out to each plant.
Provide accounting support when needed.
Conduct ad hoc projects.

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong cost and manufacturing experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
