About the Role:
We are looking for a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, with a focus on Revenue and AR accounts. The ideal candidate will be analytical with a strong attention to detail.

What You Would Be Doing At Expressable (essential Functions)
Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of cash receipts to claims software
Conduct monthly close processes for Revenue, Accounts Receivable, and other financial accounts as instructed (e.g., AP, Payroll)
Prepare all journal entries related to revenue and accounts receivable as part of the monthly close process
Analyze revenue, AR and other financial trends on a regular basis, including creating AR aging schedules and reconciliations
Collaborate with billing team and third-party RCM vendor to ensure accuracy of claims data used in financial reporting including revenue estimates, AR balances, and write-offs
Maintain database of contracted payer rates
Maintain accurate financial records
Compile, analyze, and report financial data
Comply with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations
Perform audits and resolve discrepancies

Demonstrated experience analyzing large data sets
Proficiency with performing monthly close process
Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field preferred
Knowledge of healthcare insurance claims processes and data and QuickBooks online preferred
