Requirements
The central mission of Georgetown’s Counseling and Psychiatric Service (CAPS) is to collaborate directly with students and the Law Center campus community. A member of the Division of Student Affairs, CAPS is dedicated to helping students develop greater self-understanding, identify and solve problems, and improve academic performance through the alleviation of psychological, emotional, and cognitive barriers.
This position entails the delivery of psychotherapy, counseling, outreach, and consultation services to students at the Georgetown University Law Center, and consultations to deans, faculty, staff, and parents.
Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation
This position reports to the Associate Director for CAPS Law School Operations, and involves direct service to students within Georgetown University Center, consultations to deans and faculty regarding student issues, and consultation to other CAPS staff and Student Health Service staff.
This position has been designated as Hybrid 3 Days. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. Requirements And Qualifications
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$54,616.00 - $100,493.33
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.

Requirements And Qualifications
- Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology or a related field; or an masters in social work (MSW); or professional counselor (LPC)
- Licensure in the District of Columbia as a social worker, psychologist, or professional counseling. (If not yet licensed, then licensure must be within 2 years of the start date).
- Preference for previous college mental health experience as well as demonstrated experience working with a diverse student population.
