Position

Atra is seeking a passionate and organized Stakeholder Engagement and Project Manager who is highly organized, an effective communicator and excels at anticipating and mitigating challenges. The Stakeholder Engagement and Project Manager will play a crucial role working across the organization to establish and hone systems for increased efficiency and scalability, craft and communicate the organization’s story for varied audiences and provide administrative and logistical support for stakeholder engagement activities. Preferred candidates will be self-starters and will demonstrate critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills. This position requires the ability to plan, organize, and manage time and projects productively and foresee and address obstacles.

This dynamic full-time role is best suited to a strategic thinker and detail-oriented do-er who excels in project management, has a way with words, appreciates varied responsibilities and is eager to contribute to a growing nonprofit organization creating large-scale change in the Jewish community.

The Stakeholder Engagement and Project Manager Manager will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and will oversee consultants, working to ensure effective communication, delegation and workflow. This is a remote (US-based) position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Project Management

  • Collaborate with the Chief Operations Officer to design and lead project plans, timelines, and budgets, and manage project resources effectively. Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external partners to ensure successful project execution, preparing status or evaluation reports as needed.
  • Assign and track tasks for the Executive Assistant.
  • Establish systems, processes, and procedures to enhance organizational efficiency and impact.
  • Build and customize various task workflow and project management dashboards.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align operational strategies with organizational goals and prepare follow-up work plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between Atra and Hillel’s finance and development teams.
  • Ensure the Executive Assistant can effectively track project budgets to ensure spending is within scope and accurately contracted.
  • Direct Executive Assistant to assist with event planning for board meetings and staff retreats and to act as administrator for organizational systems such as Asana, Jotform and the organization’s internal Outlook calendar systems.

Stakeholder Relations

  • Draft and assemble materials for distribution, perform prospect research, and gather and maintain records/documents for stakeholders; work with the Executive Assistant to carry out distribution, organization, and tracking.
  • Draft funder communications, schedules, and agendas for stakeholder meetings. Oversee follow-up from meetings, and orchestrate plans for ongoing communication. Work with the Executive Assistant to implement these systems.
  • Ensure Atra maintains strategic and effective communications and relationships with a broad range of key internal and external stakeholders, including executive team members, board members, donors, and partners.

Communications

  • In close collaboration with other team members, implement Atra’s marketing and communications strategies through email, social media, and website updates to effectively reach Atra's target audience in an impactful way.
  • Frequently compose, proofread, and distribute internal and external correspondences, including emails, funder collateral, memorandums, and reports.
  • Communicate project updates and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and funders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in project management, operations, development, communications, etc. in a nonprofit setting.
  • Exceptionally strategic, self-starting, and organized with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proven record of organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize thoughtfully and manage multiple tasks.
  • Able to hold the big picture: the ability to be thorough and keep a positive attitude, even within short timeframes; eager to problem-solve with the ability to think outside the box and generate new ideas.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor, capable of working effectively with diverse groups of participants and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and strong self-management skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.
  • Passion for the organization’s mission and a commitment to impacting the community positively.
  • Proficient in using technology and tools for program management as well as databases, survey platforms, and communication tools.

Salary

$65,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience
