InfraHire is looking for a Steel Estimator in Hudson, NH.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals Estimator.

Responsibilities

  • Generate detailed material take-offs from structural and architectural plans.
  • Examine project specifications and determine all necessary steel and miscellaneous metals.
  • Solicit competitive quotes from suppliers when necessary.
  • Create thorough cost estimates that account for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
  • Develop and submit proposals and bids for prospective projects.
  • Engage in value engineering discussions to identify potential cost-saving strategies.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in estimating structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in steel estimating software (e.g., Strumis, Tekla PowerFab) is advantageous.
