A Strategist is responsible for driving 3 areas of strategic thinking and experience planning:
Problem Definition & Strategic Approach
Collaborate with clients and project leads to diagnose and communicate in-depth knowledge of the client's business environment, including:
general business processes
target audiences/customer attributes
rganizational "pain"
strategy and competitive positioning
Support clients and project leads to define and prioritize their business challenges, goals solution opportunities, and key metrics. Contribute to forming a strategic approach for team to achieve objectives.
Understand project success metrics and maintain focus on these critical metrics throughout the project engagement
Holistic Market and User Insights
Collaborate with client to identify, synthesize and communicate existing research
Rapidly conduct secondary research, including industry trends, market scan, and competitive research
Develop discussion guides and conduct stakeholder and user interviews
Analyze and synthesize findings from multiple inputs and produce actionable insights in the form of personas and experience maps
Experience Strategy
Working with project leads, help clients focus on the root problem and align on a long-term vision that drives shared value and trust, including:
Support in the preparation and facilitation of envisioning workshops to help organizations define and align on their vision against tangible outcomes
Create compelling documents that summarize workshop activities and outputs
In consultation with project leads, analyze qualitative data and identify opportunities to create new value for customers
Skills Must Have
Experience conducting user research, including interviews, focus groups, and surveys to gather user insights
Proficiency in synthesizing research and developing insights to identify key themes
Proficiency in creating cohesive narratives and crafting insight-based documents and presentations driven by an understanding of user and market needs
Demonstrated ability to actively listen, think strategically, and facilitate collaboration
Demonstrated deep experience and expertise in Wealth Management to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on client projects
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and meet project deadlines in a remote environment
Ability to present confidently and persuasively to large and small groups of executive-level clients
Ability to deal with ambiguity and tackle complex business challenges
Passionate about consuming applicable business, audience, and cultural information
Collaborative work style, with a bias toward action
Willingness to identify and challenge biases
A sense of humor
Nice to have
Experience applying human-centered design approaches, methods and tools to solve complex business or organizational problems
Experience working at an agency or consulting firm
Organizational development knowledge and experience a plus
