Responsibilities:

  1. Engineering Design and Calculations: Scaffolding Design is a plus
  • Perform detailed calculations and create drawings for access systems like scaffolds, hoists, elevators, mast climbers, and suspended systems.
  • Design elevated access platforms and personnel/material hoists.
  1. Drawing and Documentation:
  • Prepare drawing submittals using AutoCAD and Revit, adhering to design codes, OSHA regulations, local codes, and company guidelines.
  • Use engineering software (STAAD, RISA, TEDDS, ENERCALC) for calculations.
  1. Technical Support:
  • Provide technical assistance to branches and project sites, including site visits.
  • Support regional branch customers with scaffold erection drawings, bill of materials, and site visits.
  1. Design Standards and Collaboration:
  • Follow design guidelines and standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Development engineers for custom solutions and design feedback.
  1. Expertise and Efficiency:
  • Gain deep knowledge of the company’s products to offer unique access solutions.
  • Leverage engineering CAD and PDM management tools effectively.
  • Utilize knowledge of regional fleet in designs.
  • Make quick decisions in high-demand situations.
  1. Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols in the work environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or equivalent; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  1. Experience:
  • 3-4+ years of experience in a relevant field.
  1. Licensing and Certification:
  • Completed FE exam (EIT status) and ability to sit for the PE exam within one year; Professional licensure (PE or SE) is a plus.
  1. Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Motivated to learn and work in the construction industry.
  • Creative problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment.

This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented and experienced engineer with a background in civil or structural engineering, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-demand environment.
