Base pay range
Responsibilities:
- Engineering Design and Calculations: Scaffolding Design is a plus
- Perform detailed calculations and create drawings for access systems like scaffolds, hoists, elevators, mast climbers, and suspended systems.
- Design elevated access platforms and personnel/material hoists.
- Drawing and Documentation:
- Prepare drawing submittals using AutoCAD and Revit, adhering to design codes, OSHA regulations, local codes, and company guidelines.
- Use engineering software (STAAD, RISA, TEDDS, ENERCALC) for calculations.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance to branches and project sites, including site visits.
- Support regional branch customers with scaffold erection drawings, bill of materials, and site visits.
- Design Standards and Collaboration:
- Follow design guidelines and standards.
- Collaborate with Product Development engineers for custom solutions and design feedback.
- Expertise and Efficiency:
- Gain deep knowledge of the company’s products to offer unique access solutions.
- Leverage engineering CAD and PDM management tools effectively.
- Utilize knowledge of regional fleet in designs.
- Make quick decisions in high-demand situations.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols in the work environment.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or equivalent; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 3-4+ years of experience in a relevant field.
- Licensing and Certification:
- Completed FE exam (EIT status) and ability to sit for the PE exam within one year; Professional licensure (PE or SE) is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service focus.
- Motivated to learn and work in the construction industry.
- Creative problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment.
This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented and experienced engineer with a background in civil or structural engineering, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-demand environment.
