The Records Office is seeking a student assistant for the front office who is dependable and detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping skills and strict attention to detail. Must be able to work during all breaks, graduation weekend, and most importantly during the summer. Reports to the Assistant Registrar for Academic Records.
Duties And Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)
Provide excellent customer service by responding to and meeting or exceeding the needs of the customer.
Will be required to answer a high volume of phone calls and must be able to multitask.
Must have the ability to interact effectively with department staff as well as Faculty and outside community.
Perform data entry.
Will be expected to draft email correspondence independently for signature or review by supervisor/manager, using professional language as well as correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, composition, and proofreading skills.
May assist with management of social media and website updates.
Create and update materials (flyers, handouts, posters, etc.) for department.
Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Sheets, Google Docs and Gmail and other related computer applications.

Previous office experience preferred.
Qualifications
Must be a current student at La Sierra University to apply.
Maintain good academic standing/citizenship with a 3.00 GPA or higher.
Physical/Mental Demands
Challenging and dynamic office environment that can be stressful at times due to the amount of data coming into the office.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25.
Wage Range: 16.00 - 16.90/hour
