For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.

Technical Proficiency
- Creating data visualizations for organizational management.
- Proficiency in data aggregation, data cleaning, and general-purpose programming languages (SAS, Python, R, Tableau, SQL).
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and handle multiple responsibilities with strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research to analyze goals, objectives, and needs.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Develop statistical summary reports on identified performance indicators.
- Write reports and summaries.
- Prepare documents and reports, including correspondence to various stakeholders.
- Design queries and reports using various software programs.
- Assist in resolving issues using systems and data.
- Help launch new initiatives.
- Complete individual and team projects.
- Assist with special projects.
- Create, build, and maintain databases.
- Work with various systems to intake and track data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
