Job Description

The Tutoring Department is looking for student workers who are reliable and dependable to work in a friendly environment in the four tutoring spaces (Tutoring Center, Math Studio, Lab Sciences, and Writing Center) on LCCC’s main campus. The ideal candidate will be able to provide good written and Oral communication to LCCC & University Partnership students, faculty, and staff, assist the Tutoring Staff with office duties, assist students in making appointments and other needs as it pertains to receiving services, display empathy and understanding to everyone we interact with and refer students, staff, and faculty to other campus resources, as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Previous customer service experience; ability to use critical thinking skills; friendly, reliable, and responsible; the desire to help others; willing to work as a team or independently; previous use of technology (i.e., micro processing programs, video platforms, etc.); available for various shifts during the week, including weekends; currently enrolled as an LCCC student with a minimum of 6 credit hours and a 2.0 GPA or above.

Preferred Qualifications: 6+ months of customer-facing experience, intermediate technology experience.
