Substitute Teacher, Grades TK-12 (2024-2025 School Year)

Must have a minimum of 90 semester units or more of coursework continuing education towards a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. Basic skill requirements are required for the undergraduate substitute teaching permit . OR a bachelor's degree or higher will qualify for this position. Bachelor’s degree or higher applicants do not need to provide basic skill requirements for a substitute teaching permit. TB clearance (TB test must be cleared within 4 years). All applicants must have a valid California teaching credential or emergency Substitute Teaching Permit. First time applicants may apply for a permit with the necessary documents. Upon hire, the district will assist with the Substitute Teaching Permit application process. *Your application will be considered incomplete if you do not attach the required documents. Please double check that you have attached all necessary documents before submitting your application. Unofficial transcripts MUST show completion of a minimum of 90 semester units of course work from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. If a transcript shows units transferred from another institution, the letter verifying enrollment must specify the number of units transferred that were accepted toward completion of a bachelor’s degree.
• CBEST Certification: This is a Basic Skills Requirement for the undergraduate. If you have not taken or passed the CBEST, you may satisfy the requirement with alternative options. Long Term Resident Substitute Teacher Assignment Long-Term Rate of Pay $260 per day Long Term Substitute Teacher and Vacancy Assignment Long-Term Rate of Pay 16+ Days: $260 per day for 16 days or more in same assignment.
