FP&A’s role is to partner with business leaders to drive actions that improve financial performance and forecasting. This role will provide insightful information related to driver based performance and forecasting, with emphasis on understanding variances versus annual plan/forecast.

Job Responsibilities
During our intense 12-week program, interns will
work collaboratively with the Business and Finance teams to analyze and report monthly results
provide variance analysis compared to most recent forecast/annual Plan .
provide analytical support to the global business unit teams to understand business unit drivers of performance
undertake special projects for business leadership and FPA leads as needed
Job Requirements
Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills and a solutions focused mindset are necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Possess initiative, as well as strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with local colleagues to provide insight and support strategic goals
Dedication to utilize technology applications that are critical to performing accounting functions
STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE (qualifications)
Able to complete an internship in the summer (May/June-August 2024)
Must be geographically flexible to relocate to ADM sites
Currently pursuing a BA or BS in Finance or related degree with an anticipated graduation between December 2024 and Summer 2026
Preferred GPA of 3.0 and above
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Critical thinking skills and ability to breakdown complex problems
Interest in the agriculture industry
Ability to successfully work through conflicts
Capable of balancing multiple projects and priorities
Ability to function effectively, both independently and with a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate within various levels of an organization
Expert organizational and time-management skills
Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Teams
Open to interning in Decatur, IL.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
Internships are typically 10-12 weeks in duration
Interns are paid hourly for time worked, and are typically provided housing for the summer
Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work
ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
Interns who demonstrate high potential and engagement may be offered another internship if still pursuing a degree, or a full-time position after graduation
