Duties and Responsibilities
- Display professional appearance in accordance with agency policy.
- Handle difficult situations in a discreet manner.
- Maintain attendance within limits of agency guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client information.
- Attend agency and program staff meetings and in-service trainings as scheduled.
- Work closely with program staff to provide prevention and intervention services to eligible youth.
- Facilitate activities for the assigned group(s) in the RESCUE Youth and Bright Minds Thrive programs.
- Document participant attendance and progress in program activities. It is expected that monitoring results will show all documentation is accurate and consistent with policies and procedures.
- Compile and submit weekly activity reports to designated persons. All required reports must be submitted on time.
- Maintain thorough and complete records of program services and activities.
- Recruit, screen, and enroll eligible applicants to receive services.
- Administer evaluation instruments, as assigned by Program Coordinator.
- Facilitate and coordinate community service projects with youth participants.
- Perform other duties or special projects set forth by department, agency, supervisor, or executive leadership.
- Maintain and follow guidelines set by Department of Family Protective Services under Childcare License for School-Age and Before or After-school Programs.
Qualifications
- Obtained a high school or GED equivalence
- Must have previous 3-4 years of experience working with youth or in a childcare setting
- Successful experience working with at-risk youth ages 6-18.
- Successful experience working with parents/guardians of at-risk youth
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse community groups.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to operate a 15-passenger vehicle
- Successfully pass a drug test and a background check
- Classroom management experience
- CPR & First AID certified, preferred.

- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods.
- Light work includes moving objects up to 20 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of computer work activities.
Normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. The Summer Program duration is June 10, 2024 - August 3, 2024.
