About Our Client
Our client is a well-established, family-owned general contractor located in Virginia. With over 50 years of experience, they serve a diverse clientele, including the medical, finance, retail, multifamily, and municipal sectors, across the Greater Richmond and Central Virginia regions. Their projects generally range from $2M to $10M+ in value. They are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team for several upcoming projects in the Fredericksburg area.
Job Description
Attending weekly subcontractor and owner/architect meetings.
Supervising daily construction activities and ensuring quality control of all subcontractors.
Monitoring site safety protocols.
Assisting with quality control oversight.
Assisting with field office document control.
Assisting in creating look-ahead schedules.
Coordinating field efforts between trades to achieve timely and profitable completion in strict accordance with contract documents, specifications, laws, and safety requirements.
Effectively communicating relevant project information to superiors.
Tracking manpower and completing daily reports.
Monitoring and tracking site deliveries.
Partnering with the Project Manager to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects changes in project status and meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
Verifying that all materials, equipment, and installations comply with approved submittals and contract documents

The Successful Applicant
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction
Proven ability to independently manage projects from inception to completion
Experience handling projects valued between $2M and $10M
Proficiency with Procore or similar project management software
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
