We're collaborating with a prominent General Contractor firm to seek an adept Superintendent for the Weirton, WV area. This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience managing large-scale, intricate projects like healthcare facilities, data centers, and schools, focusing on Foundations, Concrete, Structural Steel, Masonry, and the entire building envelope. This is a full-time position primarily involving local projects with minimal travel.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure a secure work environment
Coordinate day-to-day construction tasks efficiently
Schedule and manage crews and subcontractors
Facilitate timely procurement of materials and equipment
Liaise with foremen to align on daily production plans
Oversee and maintain quality control standards
Provide comprehensive daily work reports
Offer technical expertise and guidance to resolve production issues, ensuring corrective actions are executed
Ensure project adherence to schedule, specifications, safety standards, and meet Project Manager expectations
Act as the primary interface with project owners
Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in motivating teams for daily productivity and efficiency
Strong multitasking abilities
Self-motivated problem solver
Proven track record of career stability and successful superintendent roles
Minimum 5 years' Superintendent experience on projects exceeding $2 Million
Preferably experienced in large medical/healthcare/schools/laboratory facilities with MEP experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management recommended; equivalent experience considered
