Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the Liquid Production team and ensuring that all products are made according to Robertet Flavors’ procedures and policies, GMP standards and SQF provisions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the safe manufacturing of food grade products.
  • Monitor department’s performance to identify potential production issues in order to proactively address challenges and find creative solutions that enable the team to meet goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments and shift supervisors to align share resources.
  • Manage personnel schedule and staff levels as production dictates for maximum productivity.
  • Plan, direct, and organize production process activities to ensure compliance with corporate and government standards, rules, and regulations and other industrial codes and practices.
  • Ensure all material is handled, produced, and packaged according to GMP and SQF standards.
  • Lead and develop the shift team to deliver unparalleled customer service. Accountable for performance management throughout the manufacturing department
  • Address wanted and unwanted behaviors within the department and provide recognition and corrective actions for any changes needed.
  • Accountable for safety and health of employees; the integrity of the environment; and quality of resulting outputs in areas of responsibility. Ensures all activities are performed safely and to regulation. Strives for overall goal of zero incidents/accidents.
  • Responsible for promoting positive changes and optimizing plant performance through process improvements and the continuous improvement process.
  • Commitment to Robertet and ISO Quality Standards and continuous improvement of the quality management systems.
  • EHS Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Display and promote positive safety behaviors at all times; use proper personal protective equipment, appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedures to ensure that self and others go home safe each day; that area and equipment operate safely; that all people in the area comply with the safety requirements and keep the area neat and clean.
  • Acts in such a way that safety awareness & accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks.
  • Shows leadership and leads by example, by working to EHS standards and encouraging employees to work to the same standards and will always stop to correct any unsafe situations observed and to bring about necessary change to remove further risks.
  • Ensures that all personnel under his/her supervision are aware of and meet our EHS Golden Rules.

Preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline.

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a group lead or supervisory role preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years using an ERP and/or Batch Management Software experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of chemical compounding/operating experience or related industry.
  • Understanding and compliance with emergency and safety procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Knowledge of HAACP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
  • Knowledge of Batch Metrics and/or Oracle EBS a plus.
  • Knowledge of Email Software and Microsoft Office Software such as Word and Excel.

Work Environment

Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement, and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

Physical Demands

The physical demands required for this position include the ability to stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to 25 KG.
