AS THE SUPERVISOR OF BILLING & FOLLOW-UP, you will claim billing and follow up services of accounts receivables for assigned financial classes, train and educate staff on new procedures/processes, monitor work queues to insure that workflows are accurate and efficient, assist in the reduction of claim denials by keeping abreast of payer rules/regulations and the facility’s software capabilities, improve timeliness of claim submissions and billing follow up to gain maximum reimbursement and reduced days in accounts receivable, and identify and report potential receivables and/or compliance issues to both the manager of central business office and corporate director of business services.
Qualifications
Other information:
Associates degree in Business Administration/Management and/or 5-10 years facility billing and third party payer follow up experience required
Computer skills, effective communication, ability to reason, analytical skills, average typing ability and 10 key required
Knowledge in Cerner system, Quadax, GE Centricity, Excel and Word preferred
