Summary

Overview

The Supervisor, IT Trainer encompasses the responsibilities of the Sr. IT Trainer as well as takes on additional responsibilities for supervising and developing the IT Training Team. The scope of this role is to manage, develop, implement, and maintain training programs related to business critical systems within the organization. This role also includes supervision and development of all IT Trainers. In this role, the Supervisor, IT Trainer will work with IT Leadership, project teams (PM’s, BA’s, BSA’s, etc.), and business units to provide the best possible internal systems training available.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Provides a single point of contact for ConvergeOne IT Training
  • Manages, develops, implements, and maintains training programs for the organizations’ critical systems including, but not limited to, Microsoft GP, Microsoft CRM, Alert, Connectwise, and Cisco WebEx
  • Leads the development of training materials including User Guides, Reference Guides, Cheat Sheets, Learning Labs, eLearning Tutorials, Quizzes, Training Communications, and Certifications
  • Administrates systems and applications required for the execution of IT Training including, but not limited to, Planview, Footprints, SharePoint, LMS, Camtasia, and Snag-It
  • Coordinates logistics and conducts training sessions in both web-based and classroom training environments
  • Collaborates with the IT Training Manager, Project Managers, and Business Partners to determine training objectives and delivery methods
  • Partners with C1 Shared Services Teams, Business Partners, and Vendors to build, develop, and grow relationships vital to the success of the IT Training Team
  • Leads all IT Training projects including identifying changes in project scope, potential risks and creating contingency plans
  • Captures and reports on IT Training metrics related to training participation and trainer performance
  • Prepares and presents IT Training status reports and presentations to IT Leadership and C1 Senior Leadership
  • Supervises all IT Trainers, both employees and contractors, ensuring team collaboration and individual development
  • Reviews trends and proactively taking actions to identify problems & remove roadblocks for IT Trainers

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Education, Communication or equivalent experience is required
  • 4 or more years of experience with the development and/or delivery of technical training courses
  • 2 or more years of project management experience is required
  • 2 years in a Senior IT Trainer position or equivalent people-leading experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, Visio, SharePoint) is required
  • Experience with Web Conferencing applications, LMS systems, and Video/Recording tools is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a variety of training concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management and business analyst concepts and process improvement methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Problem Solving, Decision Making, Organizational, & Negotiation Skills Required
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with an ability to multi-task
  • Strong customer service orientation

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications for training and/or technical experience
  • PMP Certification
  • ITIL Certification

Pay Range

$80,000 - $105,000

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
