Royal Oak Enterprises, LLC is a leading manufacturer and marketer of branded and private label charcoal, manufactured fire logs, fire building products, matches and toothpicks. In addition, the Company also manufactures railroad cross ties, which strengthens our relationship with our suppliers in the charcoal business. We offer a full suite grilling products including charcoal, briquettes, all-natural lump charcoal, fire starters along with the Pine Mountain fire building brand, the Diamond brand, and the Specialty Wood Products brand.

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Intern will assist procurement analysts, procurement managers, supply planners, and the Director of Planning and Procurement in the daily execution of Supply Chain activities, providing the intern a comprehensive overview of Planning and Procurement daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in report preparation and distribution (OVA, Power BI reports).
  • Learn basic Supply Chain terminology and process.
  • Review commodity tracker and alert procurement analysts/managers of any trends that could impact pricing or supply.
  • Assist in analyzing reports to make recommendations on reorders, planned production, etc.
  • Shadow procurement analysts, procurement managers, and supply planners to truly learn 'day in the life of...'
  • Partner with sales and marketing on artwork change projects and sample requests.
  • Engage with vendor/supplier meetings to gain an understanding of professional partnerships.
  • Learn how to submit an RFQ and/or RFI to Suppliers and how to analyze quotes.
  • Gain an understanding of the manufacturing process and how Planning and Procurement interacts with the manufacturing team.
  • Observe monthly SIOP cycles, providing Finished Good Supply updates and any Raw Material constraints.
  • Observe bi-weekly Supply Chain Continuous Improvement meetings.

Position Requirements/Qualifications

  • Business or Supply Chain Management Major.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • Must be able to work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from the Roswell, GA office.

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

  • Casual office environment.
