Supply Chain Manager NSW

The Supply Chain Manager manages supply chain operations. The purpose of this role is to oversee the flow of materials, resources, and information required to ensure that critical processes run effectively in accordance with organizational goals and performance objectives. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for collaborating with other Supply Chain Managers to identify and drive standardization across NSW/SEBU and establish a supply chain Center of Excellence. The Senior Supply Chain Manager oversees and provides direction regarding supply and production planning, scheduling, inventory planning, capacity planning, and distribution planning, material handling and transportation (as required) for its respective business unit. The Supply Chain Manager develops and executes Supply Chain strategies that support short, mid, and long-term goals and objectives with an end-to-end supply chain management and synchronicity mindset. The Supply Chain Manager collaborates with cross-functional partners across the supply chain and business operations and assembly to optimize conversion of raw materials to finished goods and ultimately to ensure on time in full (OTIF) delivery to the customer. The Supply Chain Manager utilizes data monitoring and analytics, in conjunction with NSW S&OP and S&OE supply planning and execution protocol to evaluate past performance and trends to optimize inventory requirements and exceptional operational performance. The BU Supply Chain Manager provides plant and operations PM with critical supply information to make informed decisions that drive consistency in performance.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and optimize a fully functional supply chain management/production control organization for assigned manufacturing locations
  • Serves as a member of the Southeast Business Unit (SEBU) Supply Chain Team responsible for establishing enterprise-wide Center of Excellence (COE) methodologies.
  • Represents the Supply Chain function within the Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP).
  • Leads weekly S&OE meetings to balance actual performance to plan and support operational planned adjustments to remain on S&OE plan.
  • Works to develop supply capabilities that enable “Any product any plant”.
  • Creates and executes, with operational counterparts, strategic and operational policies, practices, and standards for safe and effective end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Key Support for customer on time and in full (OTIF) metric, enabling best in class OTIF by establishing and monitoring raw material replenishment and finished goods distribution strategies.
  • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies at all storage locations to ensure availability and prevent disruptions to production.
  • Develops supply chain budget, reviews monthly expenditures to ensure budgeted targets are met, initiates and manages cost reduction programs.
  • Responsible for inventory management including the inventory turns metric, and inventory accuracy, in conjunction with the inventory control function. Identifies opportunities for inventory reduction and recommends disposition of excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Establishes, implements, and optimizes standard operating procedures (SOP’s) based on best practices related to the systems, processes, and metrics for Supply Chain functions
  • Key Support member of the product development , process development, and operational improvement s , providing information and guidance on availability of supplies and materials.
  • Participate in the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
  • Manages the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies the need of new suppliers in collaboration with Strategi Sourcing.
  • Leverages best practices to deliver improved quality, service, cost, and delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement and productivity to drive cost savings and efficiency.
  • Assesses industry trends and macroeconomic impacts to prevent disruptions
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates team to ensure efficient operation of the Supply Chain functions, provides positive and negative feedback to employees verbally and in writing. Documents feedback through Confirmation of Conversations. Conducts or participates in annual performance reviews for employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Hires and trains departmental managers.
  • Oversees the workflow and schedules of the department.

  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.
  • Five to seven years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • ong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • APICS/ASCM, CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPM, or CPSM preferred
