Position Summary
Serve as the Danforth campus operator. This is the highest call volume center in the University.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls to the main Danforth campus telephone number.
- Use reference material such as academic calendars, web pages and electronic communiqués and files to provide: faculty, staff and students telephone number information and transfer calls; campus information when appropriate; area code and international country/city code information; basic dialing instructions, etc.
- Distribute Automatic Call Distribution traffic reports to departments.
- Report to work at assigned start time and staff position during inclement weather.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Location/Working Conditions
- Normal office environment.
- May require alternative work schedules.
- Ability to work in a multi-level office building and to travel by walking.
- Ability to use stairs in buildings with no elevators.
- Typically sitting at a desk or table.
- Repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement.
- Office equipment.
