System Administrator

Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced System Administrator to join our IT team. The System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware/software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure the availability, performance, and security of our systems. This role requires a proactive approach to system monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other IT professionals and departments.

Roles And Responsibilities

• System Monitoring and Maintenance:
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security across servers, networks, and related infrastructure.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
• Configure and maintain system backups, disaster recovery solutions, and ensure data integrity.
• Server and Network Administration:
• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) and network devices (routers, switches).
• Manage Active Directory (AD) services, user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
• Implement network security measures, firewalls, and VPN configurations to protect organizational data.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Respond to system and network issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
• System Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Generate reports on system performance, uptime, and security incidents for management and stakeholders.
• Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and compliance standards across the organization.
• IT Infrastructure Optimization:
• Identify opportunities for system optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements.
• Implement best practices for system performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements to meet business requirements.
