Job Title: System Administrator – ServiceNow
Assignment Duration: 1 year contract
Start Date: ASAP
Work Location: Remote
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator – ServiceNow to join our team on a 1-year contract, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and optimizing ServiceNow platforms, with a focus on monitoring health, ensuring compliance, and resolving incidents and requests. This role is fully remote, and you will work closely with our internal business team members, external clients, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow Administration: Monitor the health, administration, compliance, and usage of the ServiceNow platform to ensure optimal performance.
- Incident & Request Resolution: Support and resolve ServiceNow incidents and requests, providing efficient solutions to user issues.
- Release & Upgrade Support: Participate in and support scheduled ServiceNow release upgrade activities.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop custom reports, performance analytics, and executive dashboards in ServiceNow to provide real-time insights into IT/HR service performance and key metrics.
- Configuration Management: Manage the configuration of technologies and assess the impact of changes to downstream systems.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Process Management: Follow Incident Management, Problem Management, Request for Service, and Change Management processes meticulously.
- Daily Scrum & Project Participation: Actively participate in daily scrum meetings and contribute to project activities.
- Customer Interaction: Manage user incidents with professionalism, composure, and empathy, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Continuous Learning: Show a proactive desire to learn and stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and best practices.
Must-Have Skills:
- ServiceNow Expertise: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design effective ServiceNow solutions.
- Technical Communication: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Process Focus: Strong focus on following and improving ITIL processes like Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
Other Desired Experience:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Experience with Agile methodology; Agile-related certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with internal business team members, external clients, and suppliers.
Certifications:
- Required: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Desired: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA)
