The Opportunity:

As a System Administrator at VeSync, you will be the backbone of our IT infrastructure, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently. What you will do at VeSync:


System Maintenance and Monitoring

  • Monitor and maintain all Apple and Windows systems, applications, and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of IT systems.
  • Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and security updates.

User Support

  • Provide technical support to users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Provide level 2&3 support to the Help Desk Administrator.
  • Manage local AD and Microsoft Entra user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Conduct user training sessions and create documentation for IT procedures and policies.

Microsoft Entra (Azure) Administration

  • Maintain and configure Microsoft Cloud infrastructure, including Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Users, etc.
  • Monitor on-premise and cloud performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure network security through appropriate access controls, and work with the Network Administrator to make sure the traffic firewalls, and VPNs.

Backup and Recovery

  • Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies with Veeam.
  • Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans between on-premises and cloud.

Security Management

  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor security alerts and respond to security incidents.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

System Documentation

  • Maintain detailed documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
  • Create and update network diagrams and system architecture documents.

Hardware and Software Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components.
  • Manage inventory of hardware, software licenses, and IT assets.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment.


What you bring to the role:


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in system administration or a related field.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, or similar.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Knowledge of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
