System Administrator II
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a System Administrator II to join their team onsite in New York City. This position is supporting our client's infrastructure, end users, desktops, mobile devices, and hosted servers. As a Systems Administrator, you will work with a team will maintain the critical server infrastructure that allows us to advance the way the world pays, banks and invests. The System Administrator will be responsible for deploying new technologies as well as ensuring system performance. Managed IT group provides support and implementation solutions to customers throughout the U.S. Our engineers work to provide support, design solutions, hardware systems, and provide top-tier customer service. This role is required to be onsite at a client location daily Monday - Friday. Responsibilities:

- Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products
- Controls user access and passwords
- Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system
- Monitors usage and performance
- Trains personnel on system usage
- Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues
- Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs
- Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products
- Supports Web access and electronic messaging services, and maintains a secure systems environment
- Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- Troubleshooting skills to identify issues that could cross multiple business areas/teams and technologies
- Expert in independent and collaborative troubleshooting, critical thinking, and the ability to know when to escalate
- Experience performing systems engineering and administration of end user systems
- VMWare and virtualization skills
- PowerShell scripting to manage hosted infrastructure
- Server hardware, for example Hypervisor or ESXI server builds
- MS server 2012, 2016, and 2019 operating systems
- Active Directory management and maintenance
- Exchange administration (user and mailbox creations)
- TCP/IP, network monitoring and tools and technical writing principles and practices
- Windows 10+ OS Desktop administration
- Windows Server 2016+ Operating System Administration
- Azure Foundations certification or above
- M365 Administration certification
- CCNA
- SCCM, WDS, WVD, iBoss, Crowdstrike, IIS, BigFix, ServiceNow, McAfee, etc.
- M365 Support and Administration
- Microsoft Intune Administration (including auto-pilot)
- Provide support for the client hosted client systems
- Support escalations from engineers for day to day and projects
- Serve as the subject matter expert of customer environments
- Manage and maintain customer server environments in our hosted platform, on-premises (remotely), and cloud native environments
- Manage and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops as front-end supporting applications such as Workspace
- Assist with audit and vulnerability remediations for workstation and server environments as needed
- Working with various teams and major incident management teams to resolve support escalations and outages
- Proactive maintenance of the client systems we support
