Job Description

The Systems Engineer I resolves issues present within a company’s desktop infrastructure. The System Engineer installs, maintains, and troubleshoots required client software and hardware, whether onsite or remotely. This role’s vital goal is to deliver support to an organization’s desktop, laptop to ensure all computers, network connections, and off-the-shelf software are functioning smoothly. The Systems Engineer’s contribute to the success of the organization by the computer support in the desktop environment. Whether it’s onsite or remote, the Systems Engineer is required everywhere for better assistance in case of any malfunctions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and meet client needs while offering cost-effective technological solutions to the organization
  • Set up client workstations for specific projects
  • Configure end-user software, hardware, and upgrade existing desktops for best efficiency
  • Troubleshoot technology issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent, relevant work experience may be considered as well
  • Minimum 1-3 years desktop support experience
  • Excellent understanding of user environment management, including desktops/laptops, profile management, software delivery, etc.
  • Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards, including Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 7, VPN, TCP/IP, MacOS X a plus
  • Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office software components
  • Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories
  • Ability to conduct research into PC hardware and software issues and products
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
