We have an immediate need for a Systems Administrator Level I. You will report to the Senior Manager of IT Operations. As the owner of device management for our macs, you will support the cross functional needs of MX. You will be responsible to ensure all IT systems supporting the business are configured correctly, securely, meet business and industry standards and will scale to meet the ongoing needs of the business. In addition to closely collaborating with our other Systems Administrators, you will also be expected to train and lead others to raise the overall performance and capability of the IT team.

Job Duties

  • Act as endpoint management expert for MX with a focus on Apple devices
  • Maintain, manage, and improve configuration of JAMF, as well as other services supporting MX employees under the direction of the Sr Systems Administrators
  • Help manage functional changes to all directories and logic control systems for access management
  • Help support the communications technology stack for MX business operations including:
    • Email
    • Calendar and event scheduling
    • Messaging
    • Video conferencing and meeting room technology
    • Digital signage, and metrics boards
    • Wired and wireless networks
  • Keep your skills up to date on the latest trends in technology
  • Work with application owners and stakeholders to support business needs
  • Evaluate new technology and recommend solutions and vendors
  • Practice security-by-design principles
  • Support all directory integrations and data flows
  • Support all multi-factor services
  • Support all password manager solutions
  • Support user provisioning between directory services and applications, services, systems, etc
  • Partner with Information Security on administration and compliance related solutions
  • Implement, report on and provide evidence for Information Security controls
  • Create leak monitors to detect synchronization issues between directories and services
  • Handle all directory services related Events, Incidents, Problems, & Changes.
  • Generate knowledge including How-Tos, Workarounds, Known Errors, training videos, etc.
  • Drive knowledge creation such as self help how-to guides, Known Errors, workarounds,
  • Work on cross functional projects and initiatives
  • Implement and improve the overall user experience for all IT services
  • Research and propose solutions as a participant in the overall IT strategy
Basic Requirements

  • Innate aptitude and passion for all things related to IT Operations
  • Strong communication skills and team collaborative ability
  • 2+ years experience using JAMF or other Mac MDM solution for asset management and user onboarding
  • 2+ years working with Apple, Microsoft and Linux end user systems login solutions such as JAMF connect
  • JAMF 200 certification
  • Familiarity with SAML, Identity Provider technology, Service Provider Technology, IDaaS, Zero Trust, IdP solutions, MFA, DUO, OAuth, XML, JSON, SSL Certificates, etc
  • Experience administering role-based access controls in various applications
  • 2+ years experience with both Office 365 and Google Workspace in an enterprise environment
  • 2+ years experience working with Zoom platform tools
  • 2+ years experience working with Slack and other messaging tools
  • 2+ years supporting and managing conference room equipment such as cameras, audio and video
  • Experience with digital signage, projectors, etc

Advanced Requirements

  • Experience in a scripting language such as Powershell, VBScript, batch, Python, SQL.
  • Familiarity with tracking regulator controls identified in SOC 2 Type II, PCI and others

Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $69,000 to $82,750. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.

We utilize a hybrid work arrangement style, which may require both local and remote team members to be in the office when necessary, to kick off projects, hold cross team strategy meetings, or complete key deliverables. Remote team members will travel into the office four times per year, and MX covers travel expenses associated with this requirement.
