Talent Acquisition Manager

Job Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of HR, this position will serve as talent acquisition specialist for the company, leading the strategies and procedures for all aspects of the recruiting process. The goal is to anticipate the organization’s needs based on growth and source and screen candidates that best fit the company’s future goals. Their duties include establishing hiring criteria, understanding recruiting needs and finding the right candidates. As a representative of the company to potential applicants, they need to ensure a good candidate experience and convey the branding of our organization.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Create and implement effective recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Develops policies and strategies for acquiring new talent
  • Analyzes the company’s hiring and talent needs to anticipate hiring
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, prioritize positions, and align recruitment efforts with business objectives
  • Using various channels to source candidates
  • Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and assess candidates to determine their suitability for specific roles
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the organization’s employer brand to attract top talent
  • Work with the Total Rewards Manager to manage salary negotiations, present job offers, and facilitate the offer acceptance process
  • Utilize data and metrics to track and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, identifying areas for improvement and prepares talent acquisition reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends to continually optimize the talent acquisition process
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires
  • Building relationships with applicants and past employees
  • Representing the organization at job fairs and recruiting events
  • Work with the Total Rewards Manager to consult with and advise management team on organizational planning, salary administration, manpower needs, employee benefits, workers’ compensation, and employee development, and other human resources services
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures tocontinually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
  • Manages internal client expectations by communicating project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Any other projects and initiatives as assigned by the Human Resources Director

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Will eventually supervise the HR Recruiter, providing management direction and counseling.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant talent acquisition experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, and candidate assessment
  • Expertise in developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies
  • Proficiency in candidate sourcing using various channels, including social media, job boards, and networking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with hiring managers, candidates, and other stakeholders
  • Strong relationship-building skills with hiring managers, internal teams, and external partners
  • Networking skills to establish connections within the industry and build a talent pipeline
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze recruitment metrics and optimize strategies accordingly
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software
  • Comfortable negotiating job offers, understanding compensation structures, and managing the offer acceptance process
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, industry trends, and recruitment best practices
  • Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address challenges and obstacles in the recruitment process
